Community Partnerships and Impacts
A primary objective of scholarship in community engagement and service-learning is to promote reciprocal, sustainable, inclusive, and mutually beneficial partnerships between educational institutions and the communities they serve.
Educational institutions are encouraged to mobilize their intellectual, human, technological, and organizational resources to support community development while strengthening civic engagement among students, faculty members, practitioners, local governments, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
Faculty members, researchers, students, and practitioners are encouraged to collaborate with community leaders, organizations, and citizens to identify community needs and local potentials, formulate appropriate action plans, implement evidence-based interventions, evaluate outcomes, and promote the sustainability of community empowerment initiatives.
Manuscripts submitted within this scope should ideally demonstrate meaningful community participation throughout the project or research process, including planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, reflection, and dissemination of outcomes.
Social Sciences
The journal publishes high-quality empirical, conceptual, theoretical, and applied research addressing a broad range of disciplines and contemporary issues within the social sciences and humanities.
Types of Manuscripts
The journal welcomes original research articles, conceptual papers, literature reviews, systematic literature reviews, case studies, policy studies, and community-based research that provide critical, comprehensive, and evidence-based analyses of contemporary social and community issues.
