Long-Term Access • Scholarly Integrity • Digital Continuity

Amkop Management Accounting Review (AMAR) is committed to safeguarding the long-term accessibility, integrity, authenticity, discoverability, and continuity of its published scholarly content in the fields of management, accounting, and related interdisciplinary research.

Published by Yayasan Vifada Cendikia Indonesia in collaboration with Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi (STIE) AMKOP Makassar, Indonesia , AMAR recognizes digital preservation as an essential component of responsible scholarly publishing, publication ethics, research transparency, and the sustainable dissemination of academic knowledge.

This policy establishes the principles governing the preservation of published articles, issues, bibliographic metadata, Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), supplementary materials where applicable, corrections, retractions, Expressions of Concern, and other essential records supporting the integrity and traceability of the scholarly record.

AMAR's preservation framework is designed to support the continued availability and recoverability of scholarly content during technical disruptions, software upgrades, server migrations, domain changes, hosting transitions, publisher transfers, or other circumstances that may affect the journal's digital infrastructure.

01

Digital Preservation Principles

AMAR is committed to maintaining a reliable and sustainable digital scholarly record that remains accessible beyond the operational lifetime of any particular website, server, hosting provider, publishing platform, or software configuration.

The journal's preservation approach emphasizes the authenticity, integrity, consistency, recoverability, and continued discoverability of published research. The authoritative Version of Record and its associated metadata should remain protected against unauthorized, undocumented, or misleading alterations.

Essential publication information, including article identifiers, authorship, publication dates, volume and issue details, citations, licensing information, and post-publication notices, should be maintained in a manner that supports reliable scholarly identification and long-term academic referencing.

02

External Preservation Services

AMAR recognizes the importance of independent digital preservation mechanisms in protecting scholarly publications against permanent information loss, technical failure, or institutional disruption.

The journal may consider participation in established preservation services, including the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), LOCKSS, CLOCKSS , or other appropriate scholarly preservation infrastructures, subject to technical compatibility, eligibility requirements, formal activation, successful content deposit, and verification of operational status.

AMAR will not publicly represent any external preservation service as active unless its participation and preservation coverage have been confirmed through verifiable evidence.

Preservation Status Transparency
Installing a preservation plugin, registering an account, submitting an application, or configuring a preservation service does not, by itself, demonstrate that published journal content has been successfully preserved.
03

Data Backup & Disaster Recovery

The publisher and responsible technical administrators should maintain appropriate, recoverable backups of the digital assets and information required to restore AMAR's publishing operations following a significant technical incident.

These backups should cover, as appropriate, the Open Journal Systems (OJS) database, essential configuration files, published articles and issue files, bibliographic metadata, author information, DOI records, supplementary materials, journal policies, static pages, licensing records, and documented post-publication notices.

Backup management should incorporate reasonable measures for data integrity, restricted access, secure retention, restoration testing, and recovery procedures suited to the journal's technical resources and operational needs.

Particular attention should be given to backup verification and restoration readiness before major OJS upgrades, server replacements, website migrations, domain modifications, hosting transitions, or substantial infrastructure changes.

04

Version of Record, DOI & Metadata Continuity

The final article formally published by AMAR constitutes the authoritative Version of Record (VoR). Published content must not be silently replaced, materially modified, or removed in a manner that obscures the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record.

Substantive post-publication changes should be managed through appropriate and transparently documented procedures, including corrections, clarifications, Expressions of Concern, retractions, or other recognized scholarly publishing mechanisms.

AMAR's published articles use the DOI prefix 10.37531. The journal seeks to maintain accurate DOI resolution and consistent bibliographic information across its website, published article files, DOI registration records, and relevant scholarly discovery services.

In the event of changes to the journal's domain, hosting environment, website architecture, publishing platform, or publisher arrangements, the responsible parties should coordinate necessary updates to DOI destination URLs and publication metadata.

Essential records, including article titles, author names, publication dates, volume and issue numbers, pagination or article identifiers, DOI information, and licensing statements, should remain accurate and consistent throughout the publication lifecycle.

05

Author Self-Archiving & Scholarly Repositories

AMAR supports the responsible dissemination of published research through institutional repositories, disciplinary repositories, funder repositories, personal academic websites, and other legitimate scholarly communication platforms.

Under this policy, authors may deposit and share the submitted manuscript, accepted manuscript, and published Version of Record without an embargo, provided that the relevant publication rights, licensing conditions, and attribution requirements are respected.

When depositing or distributing the published Version of Record, authors should provide the complete bibliographic citation, a working DOI link or official journal URL, appropriate acknowledgement of AMAR as the original publication venue, and the applicable Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licensing information.

Repository deposits should accurately identify the version being shared and should not misrepresent unpublished manuscripts, accepted manuscripts, or modified documents as the authoritative published Version of Record.

Author Archiving Rights
AMAR supports immediate, properly attributed self-archiving of eligible manuscript versions and the published Version of Record in appropriate scholarly repositories.
06

Platform Migration, Journal Transfer & Publication Continuity

AMAR recognizes that changes to publishing infrastructure may be necessary to maintain technical performance, security, accessibility, and the long-term sustainability of journal operations.

During OJS upgrades, domain migrations, server replacements, hosting transitions, or transfers of publishing responsibility, reasonable measures should be taken to preserve published article files, issue archives, publication dates, bibliographic metadata, DOI resolution, author attribution, supplementary materials where applicable, licensing information, and post-publication records.

Where URLs or platform structures change, appropriate redirects, DOI destination updates, metadata verification, and archival continuity measures should be implemented wherever technically feasible.

If AMAR discontinues publication or transfers its publishing operations, the publisher and Editorial Office should take reasonable steps to maintain access to previously published content through an existing or successor platform, institutional repository, verified preservation service, or other suitable long-term scholarly-access mechanism.

07

Preservation of the Historical Scholarly Record

AMAR acknowledges that its previously published articles, volumes, issues, DOI records, publication dates, pagination, authorship details, and associated bibliographic information form an essential part of the journal's permanent scholarly history.

The adoption or improvement of digital preservation arrangements should not require the retrospective alteration of valid historical publication information solely to conform to subsequent changes in publishing systems, policies, institutional structures, or technical infrastructure.

Corrections, retractions, Expressions of Concern, and other formal post-publication notices should remain linked to the corresponding scholarly works to support transparency, citation accuracy, research accountability, and the reconstruction of the publication record.

This policy is intended to guide current and future preservation activities while respecting the authenticity and continuity of AMAR's established publication history.

08

Preservation Monitoring, Review & Transparency

The AMAR Editorial Office, publisher, and designated technical personnel should periodically evaluate the effectiveness, accuracy, and adequacy of the journal's digital preservation and archival management arrangements.

Reviews may address backup availability, restoration readiness, file integrity, publication accessibility, DOI resolution, metadata consistency, repository arrangements, external preservation participation, and other operational considerations affecting the scholarly record.

Information about preservation networks, repository participation, and external archival services should be communicated accurately. Planned participation, preliminary registration, plugin configuration, or unverified arrangements must not be presented as confirmed long-term preservation coverage.

Where preservation arrangements change materially, AMAR should review and update its publicly available preservation information to maintain clarity, accountability, and confidence among authors, readers, researchers, and other stakeholders.

09

Digital Preservation Contact

Questions concerning digital preservation, inaccessible published articles, broken DOI links, missing publication files, metadata inconsistencies, repository access, website migration, or the integrity of AMAR's scholarly record may be directed to the journal's Editorial Office.

Authors, readers, librarians, indexing organizations, and other scholarly stakeholders are encouraged to report preservation-related issues that may affect the continued accessibility or reliability of published content.
